The Individual & Corporate Giving Manager will implement cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to ensure the successful achievement of development goals and management of five to six Fund Development Specialists across the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan (GSHOM) footprint. Additionally, this position will be responsible for fundraising efforts while cultivating and stewarding individuals, businesses, and civic groups. This person will be responsible for working with current donors, lapsed donors, and prospective donors. The Individual & Corporate Giving Manager will provide input and actively participate in goals and objectives, as well as tracking goals of staff members which ensure GSHOM achieves our mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character!
Three to five years of management and fund development experience desired

- Position is available in any of our regional centers: Ann Arbor, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Lansing, or Saginaw.**
- Be responsible for raising funds from assigned donors for unrestricted operating revenue and restricted operating revenue.
- Schedule and attend meetings with individuals, corporations, and civic groups. During these meetings, they will be delivering the Girl Scout mission which will result in a donation.
- Develop and manage strong relationships with fund development staff, individual donors, corporate donors, civic group donors, volunteers, and community leaders to support the growth of GSHOM.
- Assure design and maintenance of donor and prospect records, gift management systems, and informational reports.
- Assisting with the development of all fund development plans, processes, and procedures.
- Prospecting Individuals, Corporations, and Civic Groups to evaluate the connection to GSHOM, and if there is a connection GSHOM.
- Making phone calls to set up donor meetings with assigned donors that are Individuals, Corporations, and Civic Groups.
- Making phone calls to prospective donors (cold calls), current donors, and lapsed donors.
- Developing an understanding of Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan history and programs.
- Will join the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan Leadership Team
- The Individual & Corporate Giving Manager will manage five to six staff members (Fund Development Specialists)
- The Fund Development Specialists will be responsible for raising funds from assigned donors for unrestricted operating revenue and restricted operating revenue.
- The Individual & Corporate Giving Manager will be responsible for training and mentoring Fund Development Specialists. Responsibilities will include:
- Train and mentor staff how to schedule and meet with Individuals, Corporations, and Civic Groups. During these meetings, the staff will be delivering the Girl Scout mission which will result in a donation.
- Train and mentor staff to assure maintenance of donor and prospect records, gift management systems, and informational reports.
- Train and mentor staff in prospecting Individuals, Corporations, and Civic Groups to evaluate the connection to GSHOM, and if there is a connection GSHOM.
- Train and mentor staff making phone calls to set up donor meetings with assigned donors that are Individuals, Corporations, and Civic Groups.
- Train and mentor staff to make phone calls to prospective donors (cold calls), current donors, and lapsed donors.
- Train and mentor staff to develop an understanding of Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan history and programs.
- Assists Special Event Staff Member in planning and implementing special fundraising events.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Full-time exempt position working at least 40 hours per week.
- Additional hours may be required during peak seasons.
