ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides attentive and friendly service to customers.
  • Be knowledgeable about the history of the building and surrounding area
  • Attend to customers upon entrance to the restaurant and be willing to answer the phone promptly and navigate guest to tables
  • Retaining a full understanding of ingredient’s/techniques and flavor profiles of all food and beverage.
  • Serving and helping guests select food/beverages
  • Not just take orders but help guest navigate the menu to ensure a quality experience.
  • Identify guest’s special dietary needs and special requests and communicate with back of house.
  • Ensure all orders are accurate and brought to each table in a timely manner.
  • Confirm orders with chefs and bartenders whenever a clarification is requested.
  • Provides attentive and friendly service to customers.
  • Performs all sanitary requirements for table and personal cleanliness
  • Clears dishes as needed and sanitizes table in a timely fashion for next seating
  • Work as a team to promptly and professionally run food and drinks, clear tables, and greet customers 
  • Performs other reasonable duties as requested by Management
  • Be proactive in conflict resolution to ensure composure, a healthy environment, and professionalism for ourselves and guest

SCHEDULE

This is not a Monday thru Friday job. It requires a flexible schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, holidays, but it is for you if you love people and have the right attitude. Full-time preferred.

  • SpotOn Point of Sale, iPad, seating software

RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY

  • Protect the safety of self, Team Members and Guests at all times.
  • Promptly report any incidents and/or potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor and/or appropriate department(s).
  • Report/document safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor and appropriate department(s), following documented procedures.
  • Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as required.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Two (2 ) years of relevant experience. 
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills with other members of management, professional, and support staff are also required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Able to accurately read and make measurements.

DISCRETION/ INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT

  • Must be able to work independently
  • As a hospitality professional you will have to take initiative and get creative in resolving challenges and involve your manager when previous methods have been unsuccessful.
  • Must always present a hospitality mentality--warm and generous, calm under pressure

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Alcohol Server Training and Food Handling a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; go up and down stairs; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to taste or smell.  The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme heat.  The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
