Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for an IT Specialist I, II or III (depending on experience) focused in the area of Audio Visual support. Our ideal candidate is innovative and driven to provide front-line support and resolution of hardware and software-related issues. This position is responsible for support, design, and implement infrastructure for the Gilbert IT department by repairing, maintaining, and replacing audio visual equipment for the Town and integrating audio visual systems into the Town data network. They also provide support with cabling and network functions.

This position is responsible for support, design, and implement infrastructure for the Gilbert IT department by repairing, maintaining, and replacing audio visual equipment for the Town and integrating audio visual systems into the Town data network. They also provide support with cabling and network functions.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills to delight the customer
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment that is customer-facing
- Strong problem solving skills and a solutions-oriented attitude a must
- Associate's degree in Technology or a closely related field
- One year of IT desktop support or network training
- Two years of experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing audio-visual equipment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams rooms and Crestron AV products
- Familiar with Microsoft Windows and Office software and other relevant technologies
- Familiar with Apple OS/IOS (MacBook Pro, iPhone, iPad)
- Skill in Active Directory network environments
- Skilled in research methods and techniques for solving complex repair problems
- Ability to troubleshoot and provide client support of network security, software, operating system, and/or system performance issues
- Industry certifications such as AVIXA CTS a plus
- Ability to pass a public safety background check
