The Shipping Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Gibson Garage Miami shipping department, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of all incoming and outgoing shipments. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, preparing and packing customer-purchased guitars and merchandise to Gibson standards, and sustaining a clean, organized, and safe shipping environment. The Shipping Coordinator plays a key part in delivering exceptional customer experience by ensuring goods are shipped securely and on time.
Essential Functions
- Prepare, pack, and ship customer-purchased guitars using secure, protective, and brand-approved methods.
- Process and track all incoming and outgoing shipments, including coordinating with carriers and maintaining accurate records.
- Support daily inventory management, including counting, receiving, logging, and storing product.
- Maintain shipping department cleanliness, organization, and workflow standards.
- Verify order accuracy prior to shipment, ensuring correct product, documentation, and packaging.
- Monitor packaging materials and supplies, restocking as needed.
- Assist with resolving shipping issues, delays, or discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams including Retail, Customer Service, and Warehouse Operations.
- Support process improvements to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and space utilization.
- Follow all Gibson shipping, handling, and brand presentation standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Bilingual: English/Spanish (preferred but not required)
- Practical experience working with shipping systems, packaging equipment, and inventory tools.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle delicate instruments with care and precision.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and prevent shipping errors.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain clean, efficient workspaces.

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or supply chain a plus.
- 1–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or related work.
- Experience with packaging fragile or high-value items preferred.

Travel Requirements
