Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Market Manager to lead our efforts in expanding our market presence and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development and account management, with a proven track record of success in sales and customer service. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects while fostering relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee operations of wholesale gas and convenience store operations in up to 20 stores – all of which are corporately operated, leased or franchised.
- Directly responsible to plan, direct, and oversee the operations and fiscal health of the business assets and business operators.
- Consult and Manage operators who rely on you to understand the operations, marketing, brand responsibilities, policies and procedures.
- Directly responsible to work with the maintenance team on all property or site related issues
- Directly responsible for fuel pricing, logistics, and financials.
- Directly drives Sales and Profits for multi-unit area of convenience stores.
- Work with support staff (i.e. accounting, marketing, pricebook) to ensure company operated stores and Franchisees are executing all programs
- Oversees and ensures overall conditions of all stores comply with company standards and brand standards including: Cleanliness, food service, sanitation, customer service, and merchandising.
- Computer literate and proficient in use of Microsoft Office products.
- Maximizes store profitability, expense control, inventory levels, and shortage controls.
- Assures Best in Class Customer Service.
- Fosters a coaching environment where team members want to excel and are recognized for their achievements.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Standing and moving on dry and/or moist floors up to 8 hours in a single interval.
- Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting and grasping varies in repetitions, distances, degrees, angle, weights, height, intervals of time, objects grasped, and body positions depending upon the task being performed.
- Exposure to dirt, dust, and other fluids that may soil clothing.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals found in a convenience and/or foodservice store.
- Expected uniform is business casual or appropriate company logo apparel.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
- Minimum 3 years Retail Multi Unit Management experience
- Demonstrated Leadership skills/competencies are required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Analytical and critical thinking skills including Profit & loss and store reports to affect change are required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
