FP&A Manager – Grocery Retail Industry(Individual Contributor)
Position Overview
We are looking for a highly analytical FP&A Manager to drive financial planning cycles, reporting accuracy, and performance visibility for a large grocery retail organization with multiple store locations. This role is an individual contributor focused on managing financial processes, enhancing reporting tools, and delivering business insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Own and execute the annual budgeting process and recurring forecasts across all business units
Prepare consolidated financial statements, performance dashboards, and executive-level reporting packages
Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify key drivers and improvement opportunities
Enhance FP&A processes and systems to improve forecast accuracy and reporting capabilities
Partner with Operations, Merchandising, and Supply Chain teams to evaluate sales trends, labor productivity, and promotional effectiveness
Build financial models to support capital investments, pricing decisions, and scenario planning
Monitor KPIs and maintain standardized tracking to ensure performance alignment with company goals
Assist in preparing materials for Board and senior leadership reviews
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (MBA or CPA/CMA a plus)
5 years of experience in FP&A or strategic finance, ideally in retail, consumer products, or multi-unit businesses
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with BI/reporting tools and ERP systems
Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and narratives
Strong organization and stakeholder management skills with a process-improvement mindset
