You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and grant tracking, while supporting programs that provide families with housing stability and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and payments, ensuring proper coding and documentation
- Maintain accurate general ledger activity, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
- Record donations, ACH deposits, and contributions in coordination with the Development team
- Support grant and program accounting, ensuring expenses align with funding allocations
- Maintain organized digital and physical files to support audits and compliance reviews
- Assist with budget preparation, agency monitoring visits, and other special projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2 years of accounting experience (nonprofit preferred)
- Strong proficiency with Excel and general comfort with accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear, professional communication skills and a collaborative spirit
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities
