What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at GH Engage?
Operations Manager – Electrical Construction
(Data Centers & Commercial Projects | Mid-Atlantic)
GH Engage is representing a leading U.S. electrical contractor seeking an accomplished Operations Manager to oversee large-scale electrical construction programs across data center and commercial builds.
This role is for a true electrical operator. Someone who has lived the full project lifecycle, understands field execution as well as financial performance, and can push teams through demanding milestones when it matters most.
Role Overview
You will provide end-to-end operational leadership across multiple projects, ensuring safety, schedule, quality, and margin are delivered without compromise. This is a fast-paced, execution-driven environment that rewards accountability, stamina, and results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cradle-to-grave delivery of electrical construction projects across mission critical and commercial sectors.
- Oversee project managers, superintendents, and field leadership to drive performance and consistency.
- Maintain tight control over schedules, labor productivity, cost forecasts, and risk mitigation.
- Support critical milestones through hands-on leadership, extended hours, and on-site presence when required.
- Partner with executive leadership on strategy, resource planning, and operational improvements.
What Success Looks Like
- Projects finish strong, on time, on budget, and safely.
- Teams are aligned, accountable, and moving at pace.
- Clients trust execution, not excuses.
Candidate Profile
- Deep, hands-on background in electrical construction (this is non-negotiable).
- Proven experience delivering data center and complex commercial projects from start to finish.
- Strong tenure history; this client values loyalty, consistency, and long-term impact.
- Comfortable with nationwide travel, overtime, and high-pressure delivery environments.
- Decisive, commercially aware, and respected by field and leadership teams alike.
- This is not a desk role. It is an opportunity to sit at the center of delivery for a contractor that values operators who get projects over the line.
