Please note this is a contract role ending September 30th, 2026. Position Summary: Accurately and efficiently selects Gordon Food Service (GFS) products for customer orders. Following designated pick lists, selects items from the correct warehouse location (selection slots), properly labels, and places on pallet, conveyor belt, or in designated area for shipping, depending on type of warehouse (manual facility or mechanized facility). May work across functional areas as needed. Please note this is a contract role ending September 30th, 2026. Essential Functions: Using a pallet jack, relocates pallets into the proper aisles from receiving docks. Knowledge of RF equipment. Loading and unloading of product when required. Operate power equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Removes empty pallets from the selection slots and places them in the designated pallet storage area. Completes housekeeping activities on a daily basis. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment requiring constant walking, ascending/descending stairs or pallet jack platform, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions) Must be self motivated and be able to work independently or within a team environment Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the startup, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations Performs other duties as assigned Requirements: Must be able to work in three temperature zones (grocery zone - 15°C, cooler zone - 3 to 8°C, freezer zone - minus 20°C) Must be physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry boxes (up to 80 lbs rare, up to 50lbs occasional, up to 25lbs occasional, less than 25lbs frequent) Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred Exceptional time management skills Work well under time pressures We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those selected for the next stage will be contacted.
