Join our team as a Hotel Controller. The Hotel Controller manages the accounting department, overseeing daily financial operations, budgeting, cash flow analysis, and audits to maximize profitability. They ensure compliance with financial regulations, produce financial statements, and act as a strategic advisor to hotel management regarding operational costs and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop annual budgets and, in some cases, project future revenue sources.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Safeguard hotel assets by enforcing strict accounting policies, tax laws, and operational procedures.
- Accounts Management: Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and, in some contexts, inventory control.
- Audit & Cash Flow: Conduct internal audits to prevent fraud and manage cash flow, ensuring efficiency across departments.
- Advisory Role: Collaborate with general managers and corporate teams to optimize performance and identify new revenue sources.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management or relative experience.
- Experience: 4 years of experience in hospitality accounting.
- Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Opera, M3) and Excel, strong leadership skills, and detailed knowledge of hospitality financial standards
