What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant/Comptroller position at Gerson & Schwartz Accident & Injury Lawyers?
A well-established Miami-based plaintiff’s personal injury law firm with seven attorneys and a 20-member team is seeking a full-time, in-person Comptroller/Accountant to join our office.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing payroll for all employees
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Processing settlement funds and disbursements
- Bank and trust account reconciliations
- Financial reporting and related accounting tasks
- Ensuring compliance with firm financial procedures
Requirements:
- Prior accounting or comptroller experience (law firm experience preferred but not required)
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Compensation:
Salary $90,000–$120,000, commensurate with experience, plus health insurance and benefits.
