Propane Service & Installation Foreman

Gerner Energy is seeking an experienced Propane Service & Installation Foreman to lead our Pump & Tank field team.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a skilled propane professional who can manage installation projects, mentor technicians, solve complex field issues, and ensure every job is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

What You’ll Do
- Lead, train, mentor, and supervise propane service and installation technicians
- Assign daily work and coordinate field activities
- Lead residential and light commercial propane installations
- Install above-ground and underground propane tanks
- Install propane piping, regulators, vapor-distribution systems, and appliances
- Perform pressure tests, leak tests, system start-ups, and final inspections
- Diagnose and repair propane system problems
- Perform cathodic protection testing and install sacrificial anodes
- Conduct job-site safety, quality, and code-compliance inspections
- Maintain accurate electronic work orders and installation records
- Monitor tools, materials, vehicles, equipment, and inventory
- Communicate with customers, office personnel, dispatch, and management
- Participate in emergency-service and on-call rotations as required
What We’re Looking For
- Three or more years of propane installation and service experience
- Previous leadership, lead-technician, or crew-supervision experience
- Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work outdoors year-round
- Availability for overtime, extended hours, adverse-weather operations, and emergency assignments
Preferred Qualifications
- CETP certification
- Maryland Gas Fitter License
- CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
- Underground propane tank installation experience
- Cathodic protection testing experience
