Fuel Delivery Driver- Diesel Fuel/Heating Oil/Propane

Job Description

Gerner Energy is a locally owned and operated retailer of heating oil and propane. We are passionate about providing great service to our growing customer base. We are currently looking for full-time and Seasonal delivery drivers for heating oil and propane.

This person will safely drive our fuel trucks making deliveries to local residential and commercial customers at their site. You must have a valid CDL (B or A) with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Drive a delivery truck to customer sites and fill customer tanks of all sizes (residential and commercial)
• Deliveries range from 15-25 customer stops on a typical day
• Pull hose from the truck to the tank location 75 to 175 feet
• Able to use mobile applications and/or onboard truck computer
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner
• Provide exceptional customer service to each and every customer.
• Follow all company procedures and safety protocols
• Know and implement applicable OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Workable to flexible shifts, changing work environments
• Performs other duties, as requested.

Qualifications and Skills

High School diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum of 1 year CDL Class B driving experience
• MUST have a valid Maryland CDL /HAZMAT driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 80 pounds.
• Previous residential fuel delivery is highly desireable but not mandatory

Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check. Random drug tests are performed based on a 3rd party draw method.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
