Position Overview
Germain Ford is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Ford Diesel Technician to join our growing service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic and repair expertise, a commitment to quality workmanship, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing Ford diesel vehicles and systems while ensuring all work meets manufacturer, dealership, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to accurately identify mechanical and electrical concerns.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, powertrains, drivetrains, fuel systems, emissions systems, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC systems, and hydraulic components.
- Complete preventive maintenance services according to manufacturer specifications and maintenance schedules.
- Repair, overhaul, replace, and adjust major vehicle systems, assemblies, and components.
- Utilize Ford diagnostic equipment, service information, and repair procedures to ensure accurate and efficient repairs.
- Conduct road tests and performance evaluations to verify repairs and ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
- Maintain detailed and accurate repair orders, inspection reports, and service documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and manufacturer regulations and standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Properly utilize shop tools, equipment, and resources while following established safety procedures.
- Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development to stay current with evolving Ford and diesel technologies.
- Collaborate with service advisors, parts personnel, and fellow technicians to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Diesel Technician or Automotive Service Technician required.
- Ford certification and diesel experience preferred.
- Strong diagnostic, electrical, and drivability troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to operate diagnostic scan tools and computerized repair systems.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
