Job Summary
Germ Slayers Cleaning & Maintenance Solutions is seeking a full-time Janitorial Area Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations throughout Sussex County. This leadership position is responsible for supervising janitorial staff, conducting quality inspections, coordinating schedules, training employees, and ensuring facilities consistently meet company standards.
The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time in the field visiting multiple locations, supporting employees, resolving operational issues, and maintaining strong quality control across assigned accounts.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support janitorial staff across multiple locations throughout Sussex County
- Conduct routine quality inspections and ensure facilities meet cleanliness standards
- Train, coach, and develop new and existing employees
- Assist with employee onboarding and site orientation
- Coordinate staffing assignments and respond to employee call-offs
- Perform site visits and maintain regular communication with field staff
- Ensure employees follow company policies, safety procedures, and security requirements
- Address performance concerns and provide corrective coaching when necessary
- Maintain inspection reports, employee records, and operational documentation
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate supply needs
- Assist with special projects, emergency coverage, and operational support as needed
- Communicate maintenance concerns, safety issues, and operational challenges to management
- Support recruitment efforts and participate in employee interviews when required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in janitorial, custodial, facilities, housekeeping, or related operations
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple locations and priorities simultaneously
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Sussex County
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends when necessary
- Proficiency with smartphones, email, and basic computer applications
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred
- Authorized to work in the United States

Additional Information

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
