We are currently seeking an experienced Automotive Service Dispatcher / Foreman to join our leadership team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the shop runs efficiently and that all work is performed to high standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Dispatch and Schedule Work Orders: Assign jobs to technicians based on skill level and workload to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Oversee Shop Operations: Ensure daily workflow meets deadlines, monitor repair progress, and communicate any delays or changes to advisors and customers.
- Quality Control: Perform final checks on completed work to ensure repairs meet company and manufacturer standards.
- Technical Support: Assist technicians with diagnostics and repair strategies when necessary.
- Team Leadership: Mentor technicians, provide training as needed, and promote a positive and productive work environment.
- Inventory & Equipment Oversight: Monitor usage of parts and tools; ensure proper maintenance and care of shop equipment.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and cleanliness in the service area.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a dispatcher, shop foreman, or senior automotive technician
- Strong understanding of automotive repair and maintenance procedures
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ASE certifications preferred
- Valid driver’s license and a 3 year clean driving record
