Job Overview
Under the supervision of the Director of IT - Engineering, the Information Security Engineer develops and implements security standards and best practices to protect GPA's virtual data resources. The Information Security Engineer installs, administers, and troubleshoots GPA's cyber security infrastructure. They are responsible for firewall administration, maintaining GPA's Active Directory, assisting in the design and configuration of GPA's network, server, and application infrastructure, and ensuring that GPA's staff is trained per GPA's security policies.
Upholds the values of the GPA to promote Safety, Integrity, Respect, Community, Creativity and Opportunity. Promotes a safe work environment by participating in safety initiatives and reporting unsafe conditions and behaviors.

Working knowledge of networking, firewalls, Cisco Enterprise Security systems, intrusion detection systems, VPN, DNS, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, internet computing, Office 365 administration, Windows Operating Systems, Desktop Environments, and Group Policy administration experience highly desired.

Job Duties
- Configure, audit, monitor and support network firewalls.
- Engineer, implement and monitor cyber security measures to prevent and detect security breaches and intrusions.
- Configure and maintain master consoles to monitor performance of security appliances and software.
- Recognize possible security violations and take appropriate action to report the incident.
- Perform, coordinate and document security relevant changes.
- Configure, maintain and support Microsoft Exchange/Outlook hybrid email systems.
- Configure, maintain and support web-filtering software and appliances.
- Create, maintain and update security system documentation and drawings.
- Configure and support Microsoft Active Directory and Entra Id.
- Maintain network Domain Controllers for maximum uptime.
- Manage systems to control remote access to company networks.
- Assist in the configuration and support of Mobile Device Management software.
- Provide information security and awareness oversight and/or training as required.

Experience
- 1-3 years progressively responsible information technology work-related experience Preferred
- 1-3 years Experience in firewall administration, data security systems, operating systems and active directory design/configuration preferred. Preferred
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
- TWIC - Transportation Worker Identification Credential Required Upon Hire
- Driver's License - Valid state driver's license Required Upon Hire
