What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Coach (PT) position at GEORGIA MILITARY COLLEGE?
Georgia Military College is searching for part-time Community Coach- Defensive Assistant coach to fill an opening on its Junior College football staff. Applicants should preferably have experience coaching the defensive secondary at the collegiate level and experience with coaching the offensive line. Experience working with Strength and Conditioning will be given priority. The position will entail other off the field responsibilities such as academic oversight/coordination of student athletes, assisting in the Strength & Conditioning program, assist in monitoring housing areas of student athletes, and other duties to be determined by the Head Coach/Athletic Director that support the football program and the overall development of our student athletes. All applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree to be considered for this position.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coaching and teaching the defensive system to student athletes in accordance with the Defensive Coordinator’s vision
- Proficient in using Hudl, PowerPoint and Visio
- Identify, Evaluate, and Recruit potential student athletes
- Assist with field preparation for practices and games
- Assist with equipment room duties
- Assist with administrative work as assigned by the Head Coach

- Bachelors degree
- 2 years coaching experience OR comparative time playing at a collegiate/professional level
- knowledge of NJCAA and CAA eligibility rules and procedures
