What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Ministry Coordinator position at Georgia Baptist Mission Board?
The Preschool Minister Coordinator exists to connect preschoolers and their families to their purpose in Christ at Tabernacle Baptist Church. This position will lead programs and ministries to promote discipleship, worship, outreach and fellowship in age appropriate ways for preschoolers, families and volunteers in the ministry.

- Equip parents at the primary disciplers with resources and training, build relationships through ministry care, and counsel children for spriritual growth.
- Develop relationships with parents and preschoolers including newborn baby visits, child birthdays, guest follow up, sickness and family needs
- Recruit, train and schedule volunteers while building relationships and offering support.
- Schedule paid childcare team for events and approve time sheets.
- Select age appropriate curriculum for preschoolers of various ages that aligns with the beliefs of TBC. Collaborate with other ministry leaders for special events/programs.
- Provide and maintain appropriate resources (resource room) needed for ministry.
- Ensure top safety standards in ministry with volunteer screening, proper rations, safe equipment, cleanliness, emergecy procedures and child check- in
- Submit budget requests each year to meet needs of the ministry plan.
- Purchase ministry supplies as needed and maintain purchase records.
- Host special events for preschool discipleship, fellowship, outreach and worship, using seasonal gatherings to engage families and unchurched in collaboration with other ministry leaders.
- Attend weekly staff meeting and monthly Family Ministry team meeting.
- Work in cooperation with Weekday Director for shared space and resources.
- Grow as a disciple of Christ, pursue kids' ministry training, stay updated on trends and network with ministry leaders.
