Location: Southern California, Los Angeles County, San Dimas
Position Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a qualified Project Geologist / Engineering Geologist with 3–5 years of professional experience to support geotechnical and engineering geology projects in California. The candidate must hold a current California Professional Geologist (PG) license. A Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) license is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform field investigations, including geologic and geotechnical logging of borings, test pits, and excavations
· Evaluate subsurface conditions and geologic hazards such as landslides, faults, settlement, and slope instability
· Prepare technical reports, geologic maps, cross-sections, logs, and related documentation
· Coordinate with project engineers, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies
· Provide field support during drilling, sampling, and construction activities
· Assist with project planning, scheduling, and proposal preparation as needed
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or related field
· 3–5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical or engineering geology
· Current California PG license
· Strong field logging, technical writing, and communication skills
· Knowledge of California geology and geologic hazards
· Experience with geologic mapping, fault study, seismicity
· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites
Preferred Qualifications
· CEG license or ability to obtain it.
· Experience with slope stability studies, seismicity, fault investigations, and landslide evaluations
· Familiarity with consulting practice in California
· Familiarity with GIS/QGIS
