What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estate Planning Attorney position at Genuine Search Group?
We are partnered with Raleigh law firm in search of two attorneys (mid to senior-level) to join their collaborative Trusts, Estates, and Business team. This is a growth-oriented opportunity for a motivated attorney looking to join a firm with a strong market reputation, a sophisticated client base, and a genuine commitment to professional development.
The incoming attorney will work alongside an established collegial team, handling a broad range of estate planning, tax, and business matters for high-net-worth individuals and banks. The firm places a high value on quality work product, client relationships, and long-term growth — making this an excellent fit for someone who is both technically strong and client-focused.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counseling clients in estate planning, wealth transfer, asset protection, and estate administration
- Drafting revocable and irrevocable trusts, including sophisticated multi-generational trusts, charitable trusts, and trusts for clients with unique circumstances, and other estate planning documents
- Providing guidance on estate and gift tax matters, including supervising the preparation of federal estate and gift tax returns
- Researching and analyzing complex legal and tax issues
- Preparing and reviewing contracts, business filings, and other documents relevant to closely-held businesses
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school; NC bar admission required
- 2–10 years of experience in a trusts and estates practice with significant experience drafting complex estate planning documents
- Solid knowledge of estate and gift tax rules and experience with estate and trust administration
- Experience with business formations and corporate transactions is a plus
- Strong writing ability, keen attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships

Salary : $105,000 - $185,000
