Position Overview
GentleHands Home Care is seeking Part-Time and On-Call Caregivers, especially those available on Weekends, to support our clients in Antelope, CA. As a caregiver, you’ll provide reliable, respectful, and hands-on support to seniors and individuals in need in the comfort of their homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and eating)
- Support independence and dignity through compassionate care
- Prepare meals, assist with feeding, and monitor hydration/nutrition
- Encourage social engagement and participate in activities
- Provide light housekeeping and laundry
- Offer medication reminders per care plan
- Document health observations, incidents, and medications accurately
- Follow all safety protocols and respond appropriately to emergencies
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure consistent, high-quality care
Requirements – You Must Have
- Active Home Care Aide (HCA) ID or PER ID (California Home Care Aide Registry)
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance
- TB test completed within the last 90 days
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Spanish speakers strongly preferred (many clients are Spanish-speaking)
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluent in Spanish
- Prior home care or caregiving experience
