About the Role
Our client, a global leader in custom mechanization solutions for iconic structures and complex engineering environments, is seeking an IT Support & Systems Specialist to serve as the primary in-house IT resource.
This role will support day-to-day technical operations, ensure system reliability, and act as the key liaison with a Managed Services Provider (MSP). The position requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, proactive systems management, and the ability to support a highly collaborative engineering-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
- Provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
- Manage helpdesk tickets and ensure timely issue resolution
- Handle onboarding and offboarding (hardware setup, account provisioning, access management)
- Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and user permissions
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, servers, backups, and cloud applications
- Serve as the primary liaison with the MSP for escalations, cybersecurity, and system upgrades
- Coordinate hardware/software procurement and vendor relationships
- Support IT projects including ERP upgrades, cloud migrations, and engineering software deployments
- Monitor endpoint security, patching, and antivirus systems
- Maintain IT asset inventory and oversee lifecycle management

What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of experience in IT support or systems administration
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and standard office tools
- Experience with Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and backup solutions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users
- Proven ability to manage multiple tickets and priorities effectively
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR regulations
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with or alongside a Managed Services Provider (MSP)
- Familiarity with engineering or manufacturing environments (CAD, PDM, ERP systems)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft, ITIL, etc.)
