BIM Coordinator

BIM Coordinator (Revit/Mechanical) – Cincinnati, OH

We are seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to support commercial mechanical construction projects in the Cincinnati area. This role is heavily focused on BIM coordination, Revit modeling, and collaboration with field teams throughout the coordination and construction process.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with commercial sheet metal systems, Navisworks Manage, and Revit, along with the ability to work closely with project teams, superintendents, and other trades to maintain accurate and coordinated 3D mechanical models.

Compensation: $75,000–$90,000 annually based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain 3D mechanical system models using Revit and AutoCAD
• Attend and participate in trade clash coordination meetings
• Update models and drawings based on coordination meeting outcomes
• Work closely with field superintendents to support coordination efforts and identify wall, slab, and roof openings
• Review architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings and specifications
• Review submittals for sizing, quantity, and design compliance
• Identify and communicate discrepancies, missing information, or coordination conflicts
• Revise and manage coordination drawings, including clouding and numbering revisions
• Assist with project planning and coordination drawing breakdowns
• Ensure all addenda and design revisions are reflected accurately in models and drawings
• Support the Lead BIM Coordinator/VDC Manager with ongoing coordination efforts
• Maintain drawing accuracy throughout the lifecycle of the project

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of Revit experience
• 5 years of commercial sheet metal experience
• Experience with mechanical, plumbing, and sheet metal systems
• Navisworks Manage experience
• Strong understanding of hydronic piping systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Good math and computer skills
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to walk job sites and climb ladders/equipment as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• CAD/Revit coursework or formal training
• Experience with third-party BIM software tools
• Strong attention to detail and team-oriented mindset
• Motivated to grow within a collaborative project environment
