Your Role
As a Gensler Interior Designer, you are passionate about your craft and combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You have exceptional design skills, a background in architecture or design, and a portfolio of innovative design concepts. You are an integral member of the design team who itches to contribute a point of view and craves participation in conceptual thought processes and design exploration. With you as part of our team, interiors have never been so engaging.
What You Will Do
Lead interior design teams on projects
Collaborate on hospitality interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, and management of budgets and schedules
Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents
Participate in the selection of furniture systems and specifications
Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
Work with consultants, hotel brands, developers, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives
Assist in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination
Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Participate in business development and marketing efforts
Assures design conforms to a contractual agreement with the client
Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships
Your Qualifications
10 years of experience as an interior designer, with a focus on workplace projects
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from an accredited school
Registered Interior Designer
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D, Rhino, Grasshopper, and other modeling software programs
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Strong knowledge of the design process, Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications. Experience with construction document preparation
Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas
Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills
