The RN Supervisor provides clinical and operational leadership within the surgical services setting, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. Working under the direction of the OR Nurse Manager, Director, and Organizational Leadership, the Supervisor supports nursing staff by coordinating daily operations, managing staffing resources, and facilitating effective communication across teams. This role serves as a clinical resource and leader, guiding staff in complex situations, promoting professional accountability, and supporting compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory standards. Through active participation in nursing leadership activities, the RN Supervisor contributes to advancing nursing practice, enhancing staff engagement, and supporting organizational goals.
Requirements:Education
- Required: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field.
Licensure & Certifications
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the RQI program required upon hire.
Experience
- Required: Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse or four (4) years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Preferred: Experience in an acute care setting, physician or medical office practice, and previous supervisory or leadership experience.

- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with patients, families, providers, and colleagues.

- Proficient computer skills required.
- Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably Medent.
