Job Overview
HELP WANTED: Talent Acquisition Manager
(Also known as Recruitment Manager or Hiring Manager)
High-Volume Auto Dealership Group – (New York, Long Island and New Jersey)
We’re one of the fastest-growing dealership groups in the region and we’re expanding again. That means we need great people — fast — in sales, service, F&I, detail, parts, and front-desk roles. We’re looking for an experienced, high-energy recruiter who thrives in a retail automotive environment and can keep our stores fully staffed with top performers.
What You’ll Do Every Day
- Own full-cycle recruiting for 100-200 hires per year (mostly sales consultants, service advisors, technicians, and support roles).
- Post jobs, write ads that actually get responses, and run aggressive campaigns on really, Facebook, ZipRecruiter, Craigslist, LinkedIn, and local trade schools.
- Build a steady pipeline of licensed techs, BDC agents, and hungry salespeople.
- Screen hundreds of applications weekly, phone interview, and schedule in-person interviews with hiring managers the same week.
- Host monthly open-house hiring events and weekend job fairs.
- Run background checks, motor vehicle reports, and drug screens.
- Extend offers, negotiate pay plans, and get new hires to Day-1 training on time.
- Track time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and turnover — and beat last year’s numbers.
- Work hand-in-hand with GMs and department managers to forecast needs before positions even open.
- Keep our Google and really reviews strong by giving every applicant a fast, respectful experience.
What You Bring
- 3 years of high-volume recruiting experience (auto dealership, retail, hospitality, or call center experience is a big plus).
- Proven ability to hire 15–30 people per month without sacrificing quality.
- You’re not afraid of cold-calling techs or walking the service drive with a clipboard.
- Comfortable with Applicant Tracking Systems
- Available to work some Saturdays for hiring events.
- A hustle-first mindset — this is not a 9-to-5 corporate TA role.
