Education And/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Requirements
Job Responsibilities:
- Sets up and operates press for pressing operations ensuring line clear procedure completed between grade changes.
- Select proper tooling needed for job.
- Interprets simple drawings, sketches and blueprints of job.
- Performs entry level press room functions.
- Loads and unloads work to the table by hand.
- Select proper powder needed for pressing of products and record accurate information regarding weights.
- Weighs and counts parts being pressed.
- Accurately enters information related to the Press Department into the computer.
- Maintains tooling by cleaning and handling properly.
- Adjusts feed and speed of machine according to size of tooling and material of piece to be pressed.
- Starts machine and operates various controls to perform required operation.
- Checks dimensions of work using measuring tools, such as scales, calipers and gauges.
- Performs routine maintenance and keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
- Responsible for tools and fixtures used in work area.
- Performs subordinate duties related to the Press Room Department.
- Observes all health and safety regulations.
