Requirements
- Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings for carbide tooling, dies, and components in compliance with engineering standards.
- Translate engineering concepts and customer specifications into manufacturable designs.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain drawing files, revision history, and part documentation in line with company procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality staff to ensure designs meet functional and production requirements.
- Develop standardized work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing procedures.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by designing and validating production methods.
- Work with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Production) to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or an Associate degree/certificate in CAD/Drafting with relevant experience.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks or similar required).
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing practices.
- Knowledge of common manufacturing processes such as machining, grinding, assembly, or fabrication.
