What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Food Service Coordinator position at Gems of Jackson Childcare and Education Center?
Position Details:
- Part-time position
- Hours vary and may include weekends
- Kitchen experience preferred
- ServeSafe Certification is a plus
- Experience cooking for children is a plus
- Previous cooking experience in a school or child care setting is a plus
- Knowledge of MiLEAP Licensing and CACFP requirements is a plus
Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks
- Meal preparation and menu implementation
- Maintaining kitchen organization, inventory, and cleanliness
- Washing and sanitizing all classroom dishes
- Washing, drying, and organizing classroom laundry
- Following all food safety, sanitation, and licensing requirements
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for supporting children through healthy meals and a clean environment
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
