About the Role
Primrose School is looking for a Childcare Coordinator who genuinely loves being around kids as much as they love keeping a busy program running smoothly. This role is a blend of hands on classroom presence and behind the scenes administration, perfect for someone who wants variety in their day and doesn't mind switching gears often.
You'll be a familiar, trusted face in our classrooms, especially when teachers need coverage, while also handling the administrative work that keeps our school organized and our families informed.
What You'll Do
In the Classroom
- Provide regular, reliable coverage in classrooms, especially when staff call out or need support
- Build real relationships with children and know our classrooms well enough to step in at any age level
- Support teachers with classroom routines, transitions, and daily needs
- Model our curriculum and behavior expectations when covering a room
In the Office
- Assist with day to day administrative tasks including enrollment support, family communication, and record keeping
- Help coordinate schedules, staffing coverage, and classroom ratios
- Support the Director and Assistant Director with reporting, compliance documentation, and licensing requirements
- Assist with tours, family inquiries, and front desk coverage as needed
What We're Looking For
- Experience working in a licensed childcare or early education setting
- Comfortable being in classrooms of varying ages, not just one specialty
- Strong organizational skills and comfortable with basic office and computer tasks
- Reliable, flexible, and calm under the pressure of a busy morning
- CDA, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in early childhood education a plus, but not required
