Title: Process Technician – 2nd Shift
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Status: Full Time/Hourly (40 hours/week; additional hours as needed to support organization and individual goals)
Job Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to perform repetitive tasks
Motor coordination, manual, and finger dexterity
Problem solving, communication and team building skills
Job Preferences:
Mechanical and Leadership skills
Industrial Truck License
Job Summary
Set-up work cells to produce quality plastic parts to fill production orders; to oversee, inform and instruct as necessary, all production personnel assigned to the work cell.
Essential Job Functions
1. Promotes safety awareness, educates, and enforces all safety rules throughout the plant with the goal set at zero plant related injuries
2. Follow appropriate lockout procedures at all times on all equipment and machines.
3. To set-up, maintain, and produce quality plastics parts for production lines and maintain process stability throughout the production run.
4. Complete X and R charts and part check off sheet.
5. Completing lot traceability for resin, colorant, and components in the MRC.
6. Complete FPI’s and LPI’s as needed for Production Runs on Start-up and Shutdown of Machines.
7. Perform production order sign-off. Properly perform breaks to relieve Operators as necessary. Communicate with co-workers who are relieving you at break time or at shift change and explain how to run the line and what to watch for.
8. Report any issues to the Production Supervisor as needed, regarding issues with employee performance, bad parts, machine process, etc.
9. Complete all necessary documentation.
10. Support Continuous Improvement team activities as assigned.
11. Follow all QMS and EMS policies, procedures and work instructions
12. General Housekeeping: keep work area clean and organized at all times per the 6-S Standard.
13. Complete part checks on the computers on the line you are assigned to.
