Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED; 2-3 years related training and/or experience, or a combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to accurately read pertinent aspects of blueprints. Ability to accurately read measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to enter appropriate program information on control panel.

Job Summary
Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems by performing the following duties.
Essential Job Functions
- Know and follow all safety rules and procedures pertaining to job.
- Maintain preventative maintenance programs
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
- Listens for unusual sounds from machinery or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisor or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatuses, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment
- Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machines to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
- Operates torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
