The Internal Sales Trainer is responsible for developing, managing, and delivering a structured training program that improves the effectiveness of our sales organization and branch teams. This role ensures that all employees—branch personnel, inside and outside sales teams, and divisional sales leadership—receive consistent, high-quality training on products, services, sales processes, and company initiatives. This individual will serve as the central leader of our training strategy, maintaining a recurring company-wide training calendar and facilitating both in-person and virtual training sessions across divisions. The role plays a critical part in supporting company growth by strengthening sales capabilities, improving product knowledge, and aligning training with organizational goals.

Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Training Program Leadership
- Develop and maintain a recurring company-wide training calendar covering:
- Sales training and skill development
- CRM training geared towards company initiatives and SOP
- Service and operational training
- Ensure the training program supports all roles, including:
- Branch personnel
- Inside sales representatives
- Outside sales representatives
- Divisional sales managers and leadership
- Align training initiatives with company goals and strategic priorities in partnership with the Director of Sales Operations.
- Facilitate and administer a portion of company training programs, with a primary focus on sales-related training.
- Lead both virtual and in-person training sessions across multiple divisions.
- Travel as needed to support large training events, regional sessions, and division-specific needs.
- Support onboarding and development of new sales team members.
Sales Training Development
- Attend and complete a Train-the-Trainer program from the company’s primary sales training partner.
- Implement and reinforce the company’s sales methodology across all training initiatives.
- Assist leadership in reinforcing best practices in consultative selling, customer engagement, and value-based sales conversations.
- Work closely with the Director of Sales Operations to ensure training aligns with company initiatives, sales strategy, and performance goals.
- Partner with divisional leadership to identify skill gaps and training opportunities.
- Collaborate with product teams, vendors, and internal subject matter experts to develop training content.
- Track participation, engagement, and effectiveness of training programs.
- Gather feedback from participants and leadership to continuously improve training delivery and content.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor training approaches, and evolving sales strategies to keep training programs current and effective.
- Support rollout of new products, programs, and sales initiatives through training.
- Help develop internal training materials, playbooks, and learning resources.
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding training for new sales team members.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the organization.
- Bachelors degree in related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years in sales training
- Proven experience in sales leadership and/or sales training.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and effectively.
- Experience developing training materials or structured programs.
- Ability to travel between divisions and work with teams across multiple locations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a structured training calendar.
