What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Security Program Policy Advisor position at GEM Technology?
Overview:
The candidate should display the proper mix of skills and experience to support the EPA’s program. All personnel assigned to this contract must have excellent customer service skills and be able to professionally and competently manage customer relationships by phone, by email, Microsoft Teams, and in person. All personnel assigned to this contract must also have an attention to detail that ensures data errors are minimized.
Duties:
- Provides policy recommendations on the implementation of SEADs, Continuous Vetting, and Trusted Workforce programs at EPA.
- Reviews appropriate authorities and advises leadership on changes to federal mandates; drafts policy guidance for how federal SEADs, Continuous Vetting and Trusted Workforce requirements should be addressed; and develops implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Creates support materials and presentations for SEADs/Continuous Vetting/Trusted Workforce programs at EPA.
- Assist SMD in CES Enrollments and Dis-Enrollments of covered individuals.
- Runs reports in PSS 2.0 and analyzes associated data.
- Attends unclassified and classified meetings related to the implementation of SEADs/Continuous Vetting/Trusted Workforce programs at EPA.
- Supports the review and referral process of SEAD 3 and ODNI Continuous Evaluation System (CES) reports, provides guidance to report reviewers and assists with the escalation of identified issues in PSS 2.0 when a concern warrants federal review and analysis.
- Accesses classified information systems to view CES reports, foreign travel threat information, and for classified communications related to counter-intelligence issues.
- Supports the briefing of specific and imminent classified threat information to foreign travelers.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a degree (at least at the Bachelor’s degree level) from an accredited school or university
- Must have a minimum of 9 years of experience supporting a classified information program, making security policy recommendations, developing policies and procedures for security components at the federal agency level.
- Thorough understanding of SEADs/Continuous Vetting and Trusted Workforce requirements.
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
