What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leadership Trainer position at GEM Technology?
Scope of Work
Candidate shall assist with the development, delivery and execution of a Professional Leadership Development Program to include training modules, activities, leadership profiles, and classes for CNS management teams across the Y-12 site. This training content shall be delivered to multiple levels of the organization. Drawing from senior-level professional and educational expertise in leadership training in both private-sector and government arenas.
The Candidate shall be asked to provide but not limited to the following elements:
Knowledge Transfer and Preservation: involves the process of capturing and transferring knowledge from one individual or group to another, and ensuring that knowledge is retained and accessible overtime. Doing this helps to ensure that valuable knowledge and expertise is not lost when employees leave the organization or retire. By capturing and preserving knowledge, companies can reduce the risk of knowledge gaps and ensure that critical information is available to future generations of employees. The candidate will assist CNS with preserving knowledge at the Y-12 site as necessary by using proven concepts and methods established by industry experts.
Leadership Development: has key aspects that help to establish competent, high value employees that assist in building great organizational culture. Effective leadership is essential to ensuring that the organizations at CNS are managed efficiently and that its strategic goals are met. Developing strong leaders within CNS can help to build a culture of accountability, collaboration and innovation, which is essential for success. Seller needs to demonstrate previous experience and success in this area.
Executive Coaching: A process of helping executives and high-level leaders to improve their performance and achieve their goals. It involves a series of one-on-one meetings between a coach and a client, with the aim of identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them. The goal of executive coaching is to help leaders develop the skills they need to be effective in their roles. This can include improving communication skills, enhancing leadership abilities, developing a strategic vision, and increasing self-awareness. Executive coaching typically involves a structured process that begins with an assessment of the leader's strengths and weaknesses, followed by the development of a coaching plan that outlines specific goals and strategies. The coach will work closely with the employee to help them implement these strategies and achieve their goals, providing feedback and support along the way. Previous examples and success stories or pervious clients is preferred.
Technical Requirements

The Candidate will provide team events and all hands engagements on necessary topics as required by the managers of relevant groups. These events will be conducted in a conference style environment and can include a variety of topics within the leadership) management and coaching/mentoring subject matters. The Seller may use guest speakers or other industry experts to assist for these events with approval from CNS.

The Candidate will be responsible for the creation and facilitation of a leadership academy. Establishing a curriculum and criteria necessary for developing new leaders) refining skills of top performers and introducing new skills and concepts relevant to CNS employees at the Y-12 site.
Minimum Qualifications
- Department of Energy Q-Clearance
- minimum of 15 years' experience in DOD and/or DOE operations, training, and management functions
- Bachelor’s degree in education, leadership studies, or related field
- Thorough knowledge of NNSA and Y-12 processes, policies, and procedures
- knowledge of functional organization interactions, processes, and systems
- Experience in Executive Coaching
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in education, leadership studies, or related field desired
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
