Software Tester

Role Summary

Develop, test, and sustain innovative mechanical technologies for hot tapping and plugging applications within the pipeline industry. This role involves transitioning new tools from development through testing to deployment, ensuring functional reliability and compliance with technical standards. The position requires a mechanically inclined professional capable of collaborating across teams to solve complex technical issues and improve product performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and assemble prototypes to verify their functionality in accordance with detailed test plans and reports.
• Design new test vessels and fixtures for hot tapping and plugging applications using CAD software and other development tools.
• Conduct research on new technologies, technical publications, and customer feedback to generate ideas for product enhancements.
• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implement solutions for mechanical systems and components.
• Create and review engineering documentation, including calculations, finite element analysis (FEA), and test reports.
• Develop test plans and technical documentation for project milestones and stage gate deliverables.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality, manufacturability, and supply chain needs are met.
• Work closely with engineering, technical, and production teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are adhered to.
• Analyze data from sensors and data acquisition systems during validation testing.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through research and development activities and technical problem-solving.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in product development or testing.
• Proven experience with engineering testing, validation, and data acquisition.
• Strong background in engineering calculations and design, including FEA.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software, with SolidWorks preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  
  
  

Publishing Pay Range: $40.00 – $45.00 hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
