The position demands advanced problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of OT data management, and effective communication across teams to ensure successful project execution and system performance.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex SCADA requirements and develop short-term and long-term solutions that align with business objectives
- Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to gather requirements and define scalable SCADA system solutions
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring team members, and ensuring timely project delivery
- Design and support operational technology (OT) data pipelines integrating SCADA, Kepware, MQTT, HiveMQ, and edge technologies to ensure reliable data transfer to enterprise platforms like Databricks
- Troubleshoot and optimize OT data flows, communication channels, and edge devices for improved data quality and system performance
- Maintain and develop OT data solutions to transform, validate, and contextualize operational data for reporting, analytics, and machine learning applications
- Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, OT, and IT teams to implement automation and standardization initiatives
- Recommend solutions within enterprise architecture based on operational and business needs
- Monitor system performance, conduct troubleshooting, and perform performance tuning for polling engines and connectivity
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a SCADA or related team leadership role
- Extensive experience with SCADA systems such as ClearSCADA, AutoSol, Kepware, and OPC protocols
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols including OPC, Modbus, DNP3, and MQTT
- Proven experience designing and supporting OT data pipelines and enterprise data platforms like Databricks
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI, and cloud-based data architectures
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex OT data issues
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively across organizational teams
- Knowledge of network operations and telecommunications
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment and prioritize safety
