What are the responsibilities and job description for the Right of Way Agent III position at GDH?
We’re seeking an experienced Right of Way (ROW) Agent III to support land acquisition, easement/right-of-way, and permitting activities for new construction and operational projects within an assigned territory. This role will partner closely with the Area Senior Land Representative and Land Manager/Supervisor and is expected to work with minimal oversight.
What You’ll Do
- Perform land and right-of-way acquisition and permitting activities for project support.
- Assist with developing preliminary pipeline routes, including cost estimates and project schedules.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to easement rights, title updates, and landowner claims.
- Prepare and negotiate real property agreements and related legal documentation.
- Identify, obtain, and manage permits with private, local, state, and federal agencies.
- Investigate, negotiate, settle, and process damage claims (including issuing checks).
- Represent the company in public meetings.
- Support Integrity work and operational requests as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Active Notary Public (required).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Office (including mail merge)
- Google Earth (map creation)
Travel / Territory
- Coverage area: Western Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New York
- Travel is primarily day trips; overnight travel is unlikely.
- Candidate must be able to drive their own vehicle; mileage reimbursed at GSA rates.
Publishing Pay Range: $42.00 - $45.00 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
