- Perform comprehensive Defense Travel Administrator functions, including authorization and voucher reviews, building Line of Accounting (LOA), constructing organizational hierarchies, and updating DTS profiles to ensure seamless travel operations.
- Generate and analyze DTS reports, provide help desk support, and ensure timely resolution of travel-related issues to meet daily mission requirements.
- Manage workload distribution to ensure 100% mission coverage, especially during staff absences or workload surges, maintaining service quality and operational continuity.
- Serve as Tier 2 technical authority for complex DTS issues, including troubleshooting organizational hierarchy management and advanced routing list problems.
- Collaborate closely with USARCENT G8 to ensure accurate input, reconciliation, and documentation of LOAs.
- Lead the Phase-Out Transition Plan by documenting SOPs and workflows for smooth handover to successor contractors; serve as the primary point of contact for government technical direction and report regularly on progress.
- Oversee automated document approval systems, adjusting routing permissions proactively to maintain seamless document flow, especially during personnel changes or reassignments.
- Provide detailed reports and audit trails supporting financial reconciliation efforts with systems such as GFEBS.
- Develop reports, briefings, and training materials using advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Maintain expert knowledge of the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) to perform routine reviews, edits, and examinations of travel authorizations, vouchers, and invoices, adhering strictly to regulations without exercising final approval authority.
- Required Experience: Proven background with Defense Travel Administrator functions, DTA/JTR standards, and DOD policies (Army-specific).
- Skills: Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent communication and coordination skills; ability to perform under moderate to high stress levels.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Joint Travel Regulations, DTS systems, organizational hierarchy management, and financial reconciliation processes.
