Job Summary
Precision sheet metal fabricator seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper / HR professional to manage comprehensive accounting functions and human resources responsibilities within our organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of financial record-keeping, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support HR processes that foster a positive workplace environment. You will be part of a two person administrative team and be crossed trained accordingly. Casual and open office environment allows support and interaction with other co-workers.
Duties
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance using our ERP software
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant accounting standards
- Conduct detailed account reconciliations, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping to ensure financial accuracy and integrity
- Oversee payroll processing using Paychex, ensuring timely payments and compliance with tax regulations; handle deductions, benefits administration, and related reporting
- Manage business insurance policies
- Perform HR functions including employee onboarding, benefits administration, maintaining personnel records, and assisting with HR policies and procedures in coordination with our Paychex HR team
- Assist with outside accountants annual review
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit procedures; prepare documentation for external audits when necessary
- Facilitate budgeting processes by monitoring expenses against budgets and providing financial insights for decision-making
Qualifications
- Proven experience in full charge bookkeeping with expertise in ERP system software
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles
- Familiarity with GAAP standards, financial concepts, double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and account reconciliation techniques
- Demonstrated ability to process payroll accurately while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets), financial report writing, and technical accounting systems
- Strong time managements skills are required
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
