What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse/LPN - 24 hours/Days-Medical/Telemetry Unit-Lyman 1 position at Gaylord Hospital?
Under the direction of an RN, the LPN provides physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions of care to patients and their families, including medical treatments, on a variety of rehabilitation and medically complex nursing units, as needed. LPNs are valuable members of the healthcare team at Gaylord Hospital and are exposed to a wide range of clinical experiences and skills.
- Requirements:
- Current CT LPN License required
- Patient care/Healthcare experience preferred but not required
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross BLS Certification required
WORK SCHEDULE: 32 Hours/Day Shift (7:00 am-3:30 pm) every other weekend, rotating holidays
Gaylord nursing units offer a variety of skills such as:
Milne 1 & 2: Step down/progressive care unit of level of care includes:
- Continuous telemetry monitoring
- Ventilator support and weaning
- LVAD patient population
- Heart Transplant population
Lyman 1 & Hooker 1: Medical Units offer skills such as:
- Stroke
- Complex wounds
- Telemetry
- Pulmonary care
Lyman 2 & Hooker 2: Specialty Units are CARF Accredited with a focused patient population:
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Stroke
- Spinal cord Injury
