Job Summary: The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist in the provision of a safe and effective medication use system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Pyxis Management: Refilling, inventory management and auditing
- Medication Compounding: Hazardous, Non-Sterile and Sterile compounding
- Packaging medications: Tablet and oral syringe unit dose packaging.
Requirements:
*High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
*Current State of Connecticut Pharmacy Technician license or Intern Registration required
*National Certification required
*Hospital Pharmacy Technician experience required
*Sterile Compounding experience required
*Hazardous Compounding experience preferred
WORK SCHEDULE: 32 hours per week, Rotating shifts M-F 630a-3p, 830a-5p and 1130a-8p ; every 4th weekend Sat, Sun 630-1 and 2 holidays per year
