We own and operate specialty equipment to provide Chemical Cleaning, High Velocity Flushing, Air blows/Line Drying, Pigging and many other specialized services.

Job Summary

The Pipefitter is responsible for the layout, fabrication, assembly, installation and repair of piping systems and temporary connections used on IFM’s Chemical Cleaning, High Velocity Flushing, Air blows/Line Drying, and Pigging service projects. Working under the direction of the Project Manager and field supervision, the Pipefitter reads isometric drawings and specifications to fit and install pipe spools that meet project and safety requirements. This Job is 75-100% Travel. Normally working a 7 / 12 schedule for up to 60 days

Responsibilities

· Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping specifications to install pipe spools and systems

· Assemble and install piping, hoses, supports, hangers and fittings for chemical cleaning, high velocity flushing, air blows/line drying, and pigging service projects

· Perform rigging and layout work to safely position piping and equipment at customer sites

· Work hands-on alongside IFM technicians to break down temporary piping and hose connections required to complete each project

· Pressure test piping systems and troubleshoot leaks or fit-up issues

· Ensure safety, company, customer and insurance requirements are met and followed throughout the project

· Maintain tools, equipment and job site documentation

Experience/Qualifications

· 3 years of experience as a pipefitter in an industrial, refinery, or petrochemical setting

· Ability to read and work from blueprints, isometric drawings and P&IDs

· Experience fitting carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe

· Pipefitting certification or completion of a recognized apprenticeship preferred

· Working knowledge of applicable piping codes and safety standards

· Strong communication and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, bend, climb, walk, and stand for long periods of time.

· Work around chemicals, including acids and bases, work around hydrocarbons under high pressure and heat.

· Climb ladders and stairs up to 170 feet in height.

· Wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment according to company policy (such as steel-toe shoes, ear, and eye protection, hard hat, H2S monitor, respirator/face mask)

· Work extended hours which may include evenings, inclement weather, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: From $1.00 per hour
