Position Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (C.D.M.) to lead and oversee all aspects of our dietary services department. The ideal candidate will ensure nutritious, high-quality meals and compliance with all state and federal regulations while fostering a positive and efficient kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and direct the overall operations of the dietary department
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, facility policies, and infection control standards
- Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to meet residents’ nutritional needs
- Manage and train dietary staff, maintaining staffing schedules and performance reviews
- Oversee food purchasing, inventory, and cost control
- Participate in care plan meetings and quality assurance programs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming dietary environment
Qualifications:
- Certified Dietary Manager (C.D.M.) credential required
- Experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of nutrition, food service management, and regulatory standards
- ServSafe certification preferred
