A large, multi-site organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to build, lead, and optimize its Accounts Payable function within a high-volume environment. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, implementing scalable processes, enhancing internal controls, and leading finance transformation initiatives.

- Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant transaction processing
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Accounting, Project Finance, and other internal stakeholders to support business objectives and financial close requirements
- Drive process improvements, change management initiatives, and implementation of best practices to enhance AP efficiency and effectiveness
- Oversee automation initiatives, including OCR, invoice workflow tools, and expense management systems
- Maintain strong internal controls, ensure SOX compliance, and support internal/external audit readiness
- Monitor key AP performance metrics, vendor terms, and payment optimization opportunities
- Contribute to broader finance transformation projects and shared services operational improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 5 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable or financial operations
- 3 years of direct leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Strong ERP systems knowledge (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar)
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel
- Deep understanding of AP processes, controls, invoice lifecycle management, and payment operations
