This position offers significant visibility and hands-on involvement in corporate consolidation, transaction accounting, and internal controls within a lean, collaborative organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, earnings releases)
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and REIT tax requirements
- Oversee consolidation and financial reporting for multiple hotel assets and joint ventures
- Partner with auditors, tax advisors, and management to maintain reporting quality
- Contribute to M&A and refinancing transaction accounting
- Enhance accounting controls, reporting systems, and process efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred
- 3-5 years of experience with a public company or public accounting firm auditing public clients
- Experience with small-cap public companies, SEC reporting, and SOX-lite environments
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, consolidation, and revenue recognition
- Prior exposure to REITs or hospitality clients ideal
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
