Sr Manager - Tax

A growing Memphis-based organization with domestic and international operations is seeking a Lead Tax professional to oversee the company’s overall tax function. This position will play a key leadership role within the finance organization and will manage a team responsible for tax compliance, technical research, and strategic tax planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the company’s U.S. federal, state, and international tax compliance processes.
• Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals responsible for compliance, research, and tax planning initiatives.
• Provide technical tax guidance and research on complex domestic and international tax matters.
• Identify and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s global tax position.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and evaluate their impact on the organization.
• Partner with senior leadership, finance, and external advisors on tax strategy, structuring, and planning initiatives.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Support the tax provision process and financial reporting requirements.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 8 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax.
• Experience with multi-state and international tax matters.
• Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring tax professionals.
• Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
