Peak Gastroenterology is seeking a skilled and experienced General Gastroenterologist to join our medical team in Colorado Springs. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. The General Gastroenterologist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the ongoing development of our gastroenterology services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform standard gastroenterological procedures, including but not limited to colonoscopies, upper endoscopies (EGD), and polypectomy techniques
- Diagnose and treat a variety of gastrointestinal conditions using endoscopic and non-endoscopic techniques
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Provide pre- and post-procedure consultations to patients and their families, explaining the risks and benefits of procedures and addressing any concerns
- Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology through continuous education and professional development
- Contribute to clinical research and quality improvement initiatives within the gastroenterology unit
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to gastroenterology services
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records and documentation
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Gastroenterology
- Ability to obtain a valid medical license to practice in Colorado
- Experience in performing gastroenterological procedures
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
