This position is ideal for individuals with at least four years of experience in political consulting who are ready to work more independently on smaller campaigns, oversee vendor relationships, and contribute to high-level campaign strategy and messaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a direct point of contact for smaller client accounts, ensuring seamless execution of campaign strategies and voter contact plans.
- Collaborate with General Consultants to develop and implement targeted political strategies for client campaigns.
- Independently manage relationships with vendors, ensuring effective coordination and execution of campaign services, including direct mail, phones, field operations, TV/radio, and digital media.
- Assist in overseeing campaign budgets, gradually taking on more responsibility for financial planning and cash flow management in collaboration with fundraisers.
- Develop and refine campaign messaging, including drafting press releases, speechwriting, and writing high-impact fundraising emails.
- Utilize voter data and campaign analytics tools to assess campaign performance and refine targeting strategies.
- Oversee and optimize internal campaign systems, including email service providers and social media platforms.
- Take on a more proactive role in shaping campaign strategies, particularly for smaller clients, while learning from General Consultants on larger-scale efforts.
- Participate in and contribute to weekly associate team meetings, providing insights and recommendations based on experience and analysis.
- 4 years of experience in political consulting, campaign management, or a related field.
- Strong ability to manage client relationships, particularly with smaller campaigns.
- Experience in vendor management and coordination across multiple campaign services.
- Familiarity with campaign finance and budgeting, with a willingness to grow in financial oversight.
- Excellent written communication skills, with experience in speechwriting, press releases, and campaign messaging.
- Proficiency in campaign technology, voter data analysis, and digital strategy tools.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
